Best Edition Spider-Man Noir: The Complete Collection with Free MOBI EDITION!

First of all, let me just say that if you enjoyed the bad punchline Noir was in that recent movie, you will not enjoy this. Noir isn't a bad joke beaten into your head over and over. It's about as close as you're gonna get to Peter Parker being Batman. He dresses in black to fight a corrupt system in the dead of night with plenty of anger problems and fewer abilities than your everyday friendly neighborhood fella. I'm happy to say this is a legitimate spin-off rather than a cash grab with the same name and masks and no respect for what made Spider-Man and company unique.That said, the story is easy to follow and can be a tad predictable if you've read other Spider-Man comics before, but there are still surprises you won't anticipate and some character breaks that are compelled by their situations rather than just for quick, brainless gags (sorry. I'm still sore about all these bad movies in recent years).This is probably also not a good comic to give to a younger reader. Some images and concepts can be pretty rough or disturbing. Personally, I wouldn't allow anyone younger than 14 to read it without an adult present. Other than that, yeah, it's a pretty good addition to any light or intermediate collector's library, though it does include a couple of unnecessary first chapters from other series to build intrigue. Probably not a die-hard fan's best choice, but it does at least bring both Noir series together in their entirety.
